Keith (@keithklbelvin) is a certified Crisis Specialist, marriage counselor, award-winning author, and educator who helps address emotional problems. This conversation was packed with so many interesting insights, philosophical debates, and reflections on human nature, that it is hard to sum them all up. Keith is someone who clearly has spent a lot of time trying to understand people and the world we live in. Interestingly, his earlier life was spent in a much more selfish way. He was a misogynist and womanizer, whose main goal was to make himself happy. But thanks to hard work, his value of "transparency", and good foundations set by his mother and grandmother, he radically transformed his life.
Some of the intriguing concepts that came up were centered around Keith's view that there is a battle between good and evil in the world; and those on the "good" side have a responsibility to step up and make the world a better place. I tend to believe people are all generally good but our minds lead us astray to do bad things, so Keith and I explored that concept to try and understand why some people would "choose" to do harm. We also tried to understand how you would know if you were on the "good" side.
Towards the end of the discussion, Keith made a really interesting point about outcomes. There are so many factors at play and the world is so complex that it can feel overwhelming. Sometimes it is easy to get lost in it all and lose your purpose. Keith's point was that you should focus on the outcomes as your guide to tell you if you are being honest with yourself and on the right track. I found this really interesting. If you apply it to our politicians, as an example, many of them feel like they are doing the good work to help the country. Yet we sit here today, seemingly as divided and contentious as ever. If they look at the outcome, of where the country actually is, they would be really hard pressed to convince themselves that they don't need to be better (rather than just pointing the finger at the other side). A big thanks to Keith for sharing his perspective and knowledge.

I just want to say I was blown away with the story and the transparency of "From Gigolo To Jesus", by Keith K. L. Belvin. He takes you on a step by step journey of his ascension into a man-whore, fall and transformation by Jesus Christ into the loving husband and father he is today. I definitely recommend this book to any and everyone, and I pray it helps those caught in the grips of the same cycle to release themselves to be the person God made them to be... this is an awesome testimony!! ??????

Reading From Gigolo to Jesus captivates me by understanding the psychology of what most men go through. The book is relatable painting a real documentary in front of your eyes. I saw myself and my close friends in some of the scenarios. A teachable masterpiece centering on growth. A magnum opus read from start to finish. I definitely enjoyed it!

For Mr. Belvin and His Young King Program,
Throughout my years working with youth in various settings, I have found that young men, in particularly those from disenfranchised homes and living in poverty need guidance and assistance. Mr. Belvin starts each session by having the young men give affirmations or something positive that has happened to them. For our young men in the juvenile system seeing past their current situation is difficult let alone finding any positives. He uses current and high-interest topics and intertwines them with teaching character and values.

It’s not everyday that you meet someone who genuinely want the best for you. Someone who is selfless, and a reliable friend as well as professional. The last 4+ years this brother has been there almost daily for me. Sacrificed time from his family and business. I am recommending him to anyone that need to find balance in their lives.
Keith Belvin is an honest, down to earth author, clinician, and businessman. I have encountered him at all of these levels. Keith spoke at our #OurBoysCount Male Conference in Detroit MI in 2016. He was awesome!!! The men who attended gave him RAVE reviews, and he also was able to be a vendor where his books were sold. I have utilized Keith as a life-coach and confident too. He is sharp, to the point and gives GREAT insight into balancing life as a husband, businessman, and entrepreneur. I highly recommend Keith as a speaker, or collaborator, and as a partner in any endeavor that is structured to bring out the BEST in a person. He has literally help SAVE my personal life and ENHANCE my career objectives. Keith is a people expert no doubt...
Reach out to Keith K. L. Belvin. The investment is worth your peace...
